INSPIRED BY STILLNESS
"Inspired by Stillness" represents my newest artwork which is greatly influenced by meditation and yoga.
Although I have been practicing yoga for over 30 years, in 2012 I took my first Kundalini Art and Yoga Workshop with Hari Kirin Kaur Khalsa (Joan Hanley), and went on to became a Certified Art and Yoga Facilitator -completing Levels: 1,2,3), I was so inspired by this style of yoga that I then plunged into the Kundalini Teacher Training Program (an in-depth 9-month training) in NH with Snatam Kaur and Hari Kirin) completing my teacher certification in 2014. Since this new adventure in my life, my artwork began to transform almost on its own. I began creating watercolor mandalas on paper and on stones. I then began combining my love of textiles and watercolor, sewing my designs on fabric. This led to yet another path where my paintings are printed on fabric. I then sew these onto small quilts which became "Peace Flags". The multi-media/multi-texture approach is exciting for me! From there, things exploded into a variety of products, which you can see on the "SHOP" section. I am thrilled to share these with you.
